Rhegius, Urbanus, 1489-1541

Summary: Urbanus Rhegius was an early follower of Luther, and active as preacher in both southern and northern Germany. His, "Seelenarznei," or, "Soul Medicine," follows in the wake of the medieval "Art of Dying" genre, but is also very much under the influence of Luther's, "Sermon von der Bereitung zum Sterben," or, "Sermon Concerning Preparation for Dying."
