A letter from Morrell to Lois' mother, Elsie, expressing his gratitude for being able to consider her like a second mother, sharing his relief at hearing they are all improving in health, describing that the family has begun to raise chickens and that the weather has gotten very hot, mentioning that the quarterly conference went very well, sharing that an acquaintance of his would like to meet them, and mentioning that the family dog (Jack) is ill after getting loose while Morrell was away.
