A Traveling Ruler
A woodcut depicting a ruler, possibly a king, traveling with his retinue. The ruler rides a horse with attendants holding a canopy above him and a man bearing a sword riding ahead of him. The scene is flanked by a pair of cherubs standing atop eagles and holding bags of snakes. The woodcut is reused throughout the work.
